She grinned as she took in the sight of his fingers. “Great!” she chimed, enthusiastic. “Destroying stuff it is!” That had to be one of the funner options, in her opinion. Robbing stuff was good and all, and terrifying people (especially if they wet their pants) was a heck of a lot of fun, but just plain destroying stuff was great. The former required work, and planning, and goals, and the latter had too much screaming in her ears for her taste (seriously, she swore they rung and stuff), while the latter was just FUN.
However, she paused as she thought of something, and spoke up again. “Um, do you have your costume somewhere, Elli? Cause you can’t really go destroying stuff in that…” As she spoke the last word, she gestured towards his civilian clothes. It wasn’t that he couldn’t wear them or anything (Angel actually kind of liked them), but it would get rid of any attempt at going incognito, which was kind of valuable when you were wanted by the police.
Some people, like her, for example, had a more difficult time of it, but hey, at least they could. They were like Mammoth, who couldn’t to save his life.
Slipping her helmet out of her bundle of incognito clothes, and slipping it on, as well as discarding said clothes (like anyone would steal them. And if they did, she could always get them back. Or buy new ones. It really didn’t matter that much), Angel grinned up at her best friend. She was set. Helmet, normal outfit, whoops, grow her wings a little bit more… Yep, she was all set to go. Now all that remained was to see if he was. “All set!” she announced, thousand kilo-watt grin plastered on. “Let’s cause some mayhem!”
Their ideas of fun were a little more… volatile than others. Oh well~.

Elliot smiled as his friend chirped happily about how they were going to go ahead and go destroy things. He was glad that he had chosen the right answer. Sure, he probably could have chosen any of those answers, but he was sure that destroying things was probably something that Angel wanted to do almost as badly as he did. But, he could have always been wrong. After all, Elliot had been wrong about a few of the things regarding Angel before, but very few... He liked having her around, after all and making assumptions about her would probably just drive her away, like with most of the female population...
Then Angel brought up a pretty interesting question. Elliot grinned at her after she asked if he had his costume anywhere and then said that he couldn't go destroying things in what he was currently wearing. Elliot continued to grin at her as he walked forward, shaking his head at her, telling her not to worry too much. After all, Elliot could teleport and he could go get his costume, put it on, and then return as if he had never left. Of course, it had been some time since they had seen each other or been around each other, so he didn't hold it against her.
Elliot laughed silently as Angel pulled her helmet out from under her clothes and shook his head gently as he watched her prepare for their adventure of destroying things. She then exclaimed that she was all set and to go cause some mayhem. Elliot raised an eyebrow at her a moment before he held up his handed and motioned to himself. His red eyes darted around before he grinned at her and teleported away. Back home he pulled on his costume in a few moments before he teleported back to her.
Ready, he thought to himself with a smile as he gazed at his best friend. He dusted off his suit a moment and grinned at her, his bright red eyes more evident than usual behind his mask as he nodded his head to her, saying that he was ready before the two of them took off to go cause mayhem and destruction.

Ooh, yeah, there was that. It hadn’t really occurred to her, mostly because she didn’t really have powers that could be used for such mundane things as fetching clothing. Besides, Elli almost always seemed prepared, so it was reasonable that she was used to it. Heck, she very rarely saw him out of costume (same with her, but it was more because it hurt her wings to go incognito than anything else), so it was reasonable.
She wasn’t a bad friend for forgetting. Right? Right.
Returning the grin, Angel snatched up his hand, pulling him along. “Let’s go destroy stuff!” she whooped, very pleased by the way this was turning out. Fun times lie ahead, Harry~.
~~~~~~
That. Had been. Fantastic. Messing with people, destroying things, from battering lampposts to pulling off stoplights to causing part of a building to collapse, was always fun. Angel was pretty sure that she’d never get tired of it, ever. Maybe she was ‘too nice’ to be a supervillain, like what some of the people at school had teased her about (she just quoted movies to confuse them, and all was right with the world), but she sure as heck enjoyed causing destruction, and nothing was ever gonna change that.
But, causing destruction with a friend, and her best friend in particular? Way better. Like, OVER NINE THOUSAND times better. And this had just shown it. Wreck stuff, have fun, maybe do a bit of police taunting, but when it looks like they’re pulling out the big guns (namely, the Teen Titans), disappear into the night. Perfect.
“That was fun!” Angel announced to the world, grinning up at Elli, delighted. “I haven’t done that in way too long, that was great!” She really needed to let loose and destroy things more often. It was way too much fun to not do that.
Besides, what with the way this whole ‘Deathstroke’ thing was turning out, she needed a release, right?
Elliot sighed silently, but happily, as he walked in step with his best friend. They had just caused mayhem and destruction like professional villains and it made him extremely happy to know that they could work that precisely and that amazingly without ever having mapped it out in the first place. Now that just showed how close the two were, which was rather important when it came down to it all. After all, if two people couldn't work together (hero, villain, or civilian), they couldn't do anything properly.
The two had destroyed supplies, wrecked stores, and probably left a few people horrified and/or winded (haha, get it, winded? Angel? Anyway...). It was nice to be able to taught the police a little when they were surrounded before Elliot grabbed Angel and teleported them to the spot where they were at now, laughing and having a great time. Elliot didn't think he'd ever have a memory to top this one. It was one of his definite favorites.
A silent nod came from the kid in black as he gazed at his best friend when she exclaimed that it had been fun. There was no lying there. It had been a complete blast being able to function as a villain with his best friend around. It really was nice.
Elliot smiled at Angel when she said that she hadn't done that in quite a while and that it was great. He nodded his head in response once more before he wrapped his arm around her shoulders once more before letting out another content, yet silent sigh. He loved being around his best friend, and to be honest, he'd probably lay down his life if anyone tried to take her away from him again...
It was why he was going to try and contact this Deathstroke guy and see if he would hire him. Sure, Angel would probably feel hurt when she found out, but he needed to be around her and make sure that he would be able to protect her, even if it meant getting a punishment from a psychopath.
Smiling, because her friend had had an awesome time, which just doubled it, honestly, and leaning into the sort of one-armed hug he was giving her, Angel mirrored Elli’s contented sigh, those hers was actually out loud. This was… nice. Just hanging with her friend, being ‘evil’ and all that, not worrying about her next class, or the newest Supervillain or Supervillain group, or the Teen Titans… Just being (somewhat) normal teenagers.
As normal as two meta-human not so good teenagers could be.
Tipping her head back so that she could grin up at him, Angel spoke up. “Do you wanna head back to one of the apartments?” she asked cheerfully, simply pleased to be hanging out with him. For one, they probably shouldn’t stick around out here, what with so much havoc they had caused, and for another, they could just relax. Maybe make some popcorn, curl up on the couch with a movie, stuff like that. Just fun times.
Of course, they could always just get some civilian clothes and then head out for a night on the town together, but considering how much destruction they had caused, well… It probably wouldn’t be as much fun as it would’ve been on a normal day.
Besides, there was always something that they could do, even if said something was just heading back and going to bed. It had been a bit of a long day, after all... But she was kind of used to staying up late, so it didn't matter.
Whatever Elli wanted to do.
Elliot smiled happily as he heard his best friend sigh contently as she leaned against him while they walked. He had to admit, it had been quite nice hanging out with just the two of them. But, chances are it would be ended soon. After all, all good things had to come to an end, like their destruction and chaos causing!
Although, Elliot hoped their hanging out didn't end too soon. He had really missed hanging out with Angel and seeing her all the time. It was something that he never realized how much happier he was with Angel until now. Sure, the two had been around each other all the time but it's not until after you haven't seen someone for a while that you realize how much happier you are with them...
Then Angel asked Elliot if he'd like to go back to one of the apartments. He thought for a moment before he nodded his head, deciding that that was a good idea, especially since the authorities were looking for them. A light, silent sigh escaped Elliot's lips before he closed his eyes and looked down at Angel with a grin on his lips. He wrapped his arm around around, bringing his cape with him and within moments, teleported them in to one of the apartments.
The apartment Elliot had chosen had been his own seeing as he loved it here. He yawned slightly and looked around before he pulled off his half-mask and his cape. He tossed his cape over a chair and tossed his mask into the seat of the chair before he plopped down on his squishy couch and ruffled his hair slightly. Sure, Elliot loved his suit, but he hated that it flattened his hair in an awkward way.
After a moment, Elliot looked back over at Angel and smiled at her, wondering how long it would take her to get used to that again.
Sweet, off to one of their apartments it was! Recognizing the process for what it was, Angel let herself be wrapped in his cloak, and then they both promptly disappeared from their location, and were instantaneously in another. Elli, of course, was easily able to reorient himself, it being so second-nature. Just look at the way he was already yawning and settling down and stuff!
The girl of the two, however, took a bit longer, as she blinked hazy yellow eyes, bringing them back into focus, and then found herself readjusting. It was always a weird sensation, sort of… cold and cool, and she wasn’t sure if she would ever get used to it. …Well, probably, considering that Elli was her best friend and always using it with her along for the ride, so it was probably inevitable.
Slight smile rising to her lips as she surveyed the familiar apartment (sure, it wasn’t hers, but it was like her second one, totally), Angel took off her helmet with a sigh of relief, shaking her hair out as she did so, so it was more normal. Nothing worse than helmet hair, after all, and she did not want. Nope.
Realizing that she had left her civilian clothes out there, but figuring that she knew exactly where they were, so she could retrieve them later, and that she had plenty, because she usually bought them in bulk (wasn’t like she was dressing for style; that was kind of limited when you had wings), Angel plopped down next to Elli, though she had to shift slightly so that her wings weren’t pressing into the back of the couch uncomfortably.
Urgh, as much as she loved her wings, and couldn’t imagine not being able to lift up in the sky with them, they could make normal things annoying, a lot of the time.
With a small sigh of contentment, she let her head fall back, smiling. “Good to be here…” That had kind of been a long day, ugh. Still, a pretty good one!
Elliot smiled at his friend as she took a while longer to get used to the sensation of teleporting with him. He figured it would since it had been a while since the two of them had teleported together. He believed the last time that happened was...right before they joined the Brotherhood of Evil.
Speaking of the Brotherhood of Evil, Elliot still had to apologize for that. Although he still wasn't quite sure how. After all, how does a person who doesn't talk apologize to someone that he cares about? A gentle sigh escaped Elliot's lips as he realized what he had to do. He still had enough time to rest his voice before he called mother and father, he supposed.
Elliot watched as his friend looked around the apartment before she took off her helmet, allowing her beautiful...black locks (?? When did that happen?! Elliot would need to ask...) to fall into their usual place before she walked over to him and plopped down onto the couch beside him. She shifted slightly, probably due to her wings before he wrapped his arm around her shoulder and pulled her over to him a little more.
A grin formed on his face as he heard her say that it was good to be here. Elliot yawned slightly and nodded his head in agreement before he looked over at his friend. He raised an eyebrow and tugged at her clothes, asking if she wanted to change out of them. Sure, it probably looked a little weird, but he was sure she'd get the drift at some point or another. After all, she couldn't expect Elliot to be her best friend and not have some of her clothes lying around, right?
Before Angel had the chance to speak, Elliot put his hand up and pushed her over a little before he stood up and went into his room. He looked around before he opened the door to his closet and smiled. He pulled out a pair of Angel's usual clothes before bringing it back into the living area. He tossed them at her with a grin before motioning towards his room so she could shut the door and change in private before he walked back over to the couch and plopped down, feeling like a good friend should. After all, he couldn't just allow her to stay uncomfortable now could he?
He pulled her closer, and she smiled, enjoying the feeling of being with her friend. To others, it might’ve looked like something different, perhaps a date or something, by how close they were sitting, but Elli and her were simply thisclose, and good with it. He was her best friend, and vice versa, and what was wrong with that? Angel didn’t know of many villains who had super tight relationships with fellow villains, so it was great, honestly. Knowing someone would always have your back.
Blinking in surprise as he tugged on her clothes, Angel frowned slightly, trying to process what he was saying (really, her brain ended up working more in these conversations than it should), but before she could even formulate what to say, let alone say it, Elli raised a hand, and she shifted, allowing him to stand up. For a moment, she considered following him, as this had something to do with her and her… clothes… Oh! Changing clothes? Was that it? Comprehension lit her yellow gaze (after all, what else could he be referring to with her clothes? …None of the thoughts that came to her head were anything that Elliot would think), so she waited.
Catching her clothes with a grin, she gave her friend a chirpy “Thanks, Elli!” before she flitted into his room. It was clean, of course, but even Elliot was a teenage boy, so it wasn’t pristine. Oh well, like she cared.
Shutting the door behind her, the first thing that Angel did was slip off her armbands, boots, and belt, before trading her skirt for a loose pair of jeans. Then came the frustration of working with her wings. Joy. Pull her wings in (physically, with her hands, because she unfortunately couldn’t make them disappear), so that her shirt was stretched over them, and then pull it off, slowly and painfully. Gah, she hated it. But she loved her wings, so it was a fair trade.
Putting on of her blue T-shirt was the same process, just backwards, and was easier than the first. Still, she didn’t like changing. Folding up her uniform, armbands resting on top, and boots lined neatly up against the wall, Angel ditched said clothes in Elli’s room, putting them on his dresser, but out of the way. Wasn’t like it mattered.
Stepping out of the room, rotating her shoulders slightly, to try and get rid of the stretched muscles that had resulted from her odd maneuver of dressing, Angelique plopped back down on the couch with a smile. “Wings are so annoying,” she stated, though she was pretty sure that she said something along those lines every time she changed. But it was true! Most people didn’t think about that!
Elliot smiled at his friend as she said thanks after catching her clothes. He watched carelessly as she entered his bedroom and shut the door. A silent sigh escaped Elliot's lips as he leaned back against his couch somewhat, molding in with his usual spot.
For a few moments, Elliot pondered whether he should turn on the TV or not and see if their latest activity had made the news. After all, destruction in Jump City didn't tend to happen very often seeing as the Teen Titans were always around to stop it. So seeing if they made the news would be perfect...but alas, that would mean that he would have to move from his oh-so-comfy spot on the couch...and no one ever wanted that especially teenagers.
Once Elliot had decided that his butt would stay firmly planted to the couch, he heard the door to his bedroom open. Elliot's head turned and he gazed at his best friend as she stepped out the door and rotated her shoulders. He chuckled silently as she plopped down beside him and told him how annoying her wings were. Elliot shook his head slightly before he got up and headed towards the kitchen. He looked around for a moment before grinning as he finally spotted what he was looking for.
Elliot returned to the living area with a pair of scissors and rotated his finger around, telling her to move so he could get to work. He hoped she would, after all, he didn't really like her feeling too uncomfortable especially when she was in his home where she was allowed to be herself and allow her wings to be free and whatnot.
Sure, these were her "normal" clothes but if nothing else Elliot would teleport her back to her place so she could change into some new clothes but he wanted her to have some lounging about clothes so that she could spread her wings...
Metaphorically and physically.
Sometimes, it was kind of annoying, having someone who was practically mute for a best friend. Like when he got up right after she sat down, clearly motivated by something she had said/done/whatever, because it wasn’t like he didn’t want to sit by her, and didn’t tell her what. Because he couldn’t, yes, Angel definitely got that, but it didn’t stop the annoyance factor. Still, it was something that she had learned to live with and not complain about, though it still bugged her a bit.
Dismissing such thoughts, because she had been the one to befriend Elli, and now she wouldn’t have it any other way, and letting her cheek press into the back of the sofa as she waited, Angel blinked, looking up, as her friend re-entered the room with a pair of scissors. O… kay… Following his motion and turning, comprehension dawned on the meta-human. “Thanks, Elli!” she chirped, smiling at him. It was annoying, having to cut up all of her shirts and stuff, and she just hadn’t gotten around to it with these ones.
Sure, they had ripped a little bit, considering that her wings would never be able to fit in her shirt without pushing a little bit, and the shirt had gave, but her wings were only just peeking through, so Kyd cutting it so that her whole wings could fit out was awesome. Cause it hurt, more like ached, though not as much as when she went incognito and had to buckle her wings around herself. Ugh.
So, smiling and pleased, she lapsed into a comfortable silence, with just the snipping and snapping of her friend wielding the scissors behind her.
The dark child watched as his friend went from looking at him like he was insane to understanding as she chirped a quick 'thank you' before turning around. Elliot smiled happily as he walked back over to the couch and plopped down on the sofa. He looked carefully at where the wings would come out of her shirt before he lifted the shirt away from her gorgeous wings and began snipping at the fabric.
Elliot made sure to cut only the t-shirt, knowing that if he missed otherwise it could hurt his friend and he didn't want that. Plus, her wings were far beautiful than anything he'd ever seen in his life. There was just something about them that made Angel seem completely flawless, no matter what she was doing.
Focus, he scolded lightly as he continued to snip and cut before finally being finished. He smiled and gently moved the fabric over her wings so they were able to come out and fluff themselves. He had a feeling that it was pretty uncomfortable under that shirt for them.
Elliot then got up from the couch and headed into the kitchen to put the scissors away. He closed the drawer and sighed a bit before he looked at a picture of the two of them. He then paused and grabbed two bottles of water from his fridge before returning to the living room. He sat down on the couch and handed her a bottle of water before looking at her with a raised eyebrow, as if asking her if she felt better.
She could feel her wings slowly becoming more free as he cut away at her shirt, thank goodness. Angel hated them being trapped, or bound away, which was reasonable, so this was a breath of fresh air. Though it did kind of make her a bit uncomfortable, to have her delicate and very important wings that close to scissors, the girl trusted Elli, knowing that he would try not to cut her. Accidentally, maybe, but he was pretty good with things like that, and she could feel how careful he was being. So she was pretty darn positive that she wasn’t gonna get hurt.
Even so, she relaxed as the sound of the scissors started, and her friend pulled her shirt around her wings, which were finally free. As soon as Elli got up, she flapped them slightly, and then stood up, stretching them out. Thank goodness, that felt so nice! Letting out a small moan of contentment as she shrunk her wings as her friend came back in, she accepted the water with a smile, plopping down next to him.
“You’re a miracle worker,” she told him with a grin, taking a sip of her water. “Way better now.” Drinking her water, Angel let herself come to a pause as she resettled herself, before she tipped her head questioningly where most people would lift an eyebrow.
“So, what’re our plans for tonight?” she inquired, before listing some off for easy answerability for her silent friend. “Watch a movie, dinner, just chillax…?” Course, there were other options, but if she listed them all, they’d be here forever. He could shake his head if it wasn’t one of those.
Ah, communicating with body language. Harder than it seemed, and Angel found herself often having to phrase her words the right way, so that he could answer. Still, fun times.
An unconvinced (and rather unattractive) snort escaped Elliot's lips when Angel told him that he was a miracle worker. That wasn't an overstatement. Elliot was anything but a miracle worker, but he digressed.
Yes, he was able to make a snorting sound. That comes from the back of the throat and nose not the vocal chords. To be honest, he kinda likes making the sound seeing as it was the one sound that he could make (somewhat verbally) that wouldn't hurt his throat buuut it's far too unattractive and unappealing.
The wicked kid nodded his head as his friend said that she felt much better before he raised an eyebrow at she asked what their plans for the night were. Elliot listened to her options and shrugged his shoulders before he motioned to her. In Elliot Speak that meant," You choose, I don't care," and he meant it. Usually when he and Angel hung out, he always allowed her to pick what they were to do, but if she was really stumped, he helped her out...sometimes...
After a moment, Elliot raised his finger and then, with a flash, was gone off to his room. He then returned with a notebook and a Star Wars pencil. These were from their first meeting at H.I.V.E. Academy. He grinned slightly before he plopped down beside her on the couch and relaxed, the notebook and pencil in his lap as he waited for her to ask more questions. He had a feeling that this, knowing he kept the notebook and pencil, would make her very happy.
Then, Elliot decided that he should probably open it and did so. He opened the notebook to a blank page before holding the pencil as if prepared to write. He waited patiently for her to continue talking about their possible options. He would then write responses to her suggestions before writing one final suggestion at the end when her brain couldn't figure out what else to say (which may take a while but Elliot didn't mind). It was only six o'clock and that was early for this knight owl.
He didn’t care? Rolling her eyes, Angel snorted in turn. “You never care, Elli,” she informed him, a bit of amusement in her voice. Just like how she carried on most of the conversation (though that was a bit of a given), arranged most of what they were going to do, and now, as shown by this, made most of the decisions… He was just so passive! Honestly, she felt like she steamrolled over him, most of the time, but whatever.
He had a backbone. He could speak if it really bugged him.
Considering the matter herself, the girl had just decided that maybe they could do all three (pop some frozen pizza in the oven, maybe (as she was pretty sure that he would have some, or something along those lines, as he was a teenage boy), and chill and watch a movie while waiting/eating), when her friend held up his finger. Pausing, the girl waited as he dashed off, curious. What was he getting…?
However, what he returned with was not something that she expected. At first, she hadn’t recognized it, but then comprehension clicked, and her eyes lit up. “You kept that?” Angel asked, both stunned and pleased, a genuine smile (and not one that was half smirk) breaking out over his face. “Aww, you sentimental thing, you!”
Giving him a playful punch on the shoulder, and a thousand kilo-watt smile, the girl settled back, running what she had thought of over in her head for a moment, before nodding abruptly and speaking up. “So, I was thinking we could maybe like combine them all?” she spoke up, the statement more like a question. “Pop something in the oven, put in a movie, and then chillax with dinner and some awesome flick.” Watching movies was definitely one of her favorite activities, right below causing havoc, which anyone who knew her could tell.
With that said, Angel watched her friend, waiting for him to scrawl down his answer. Hopefully, he’d have some opinion, and wouldn’t just be a doormat all over again…
