Appreciation Thread

This is for all those members that put a smile on our faces, the appreciation thread, inspired by the awesome members of Room to Grow! Since I'm not sure we're doing a Member of the Month poll, I figured we could do our own little thing here where we vote a member with a title of our own (or give out praises to those who we appreciate). You can be as creative as you like or you could be deadpan serious, whatever floats your boat. Here's an example, in no particular order.

Okay, so now we get to vote on the titles for each, right? Cool-

Poet - Gunna go with Most Amazing RP Player, since I've had a blast so far in our thread, though the plotting has been amazing too.

Roam - I haven't threaded with her character Aileen as of yet but I can definitely vouch for her awesome signatureses!

Roze - While he is a spot-on Robin, his smack talk is undeniable, so I'm going with that one. Seriously. That smack talk. My God.

Penny - It's right there, the sophisticated one :3

Seph - I don't know anything about him! He must be mysterious as hell!

Tomo - The thing about the dodgeballs, right?

Betts - All of the above? I unno, she's definitely an awesome player for Katie, but then again not many people play her, so it's hard to say... But I can definitely safely go with Super Nice Person

I also want to add that Poet is awesome for her patience because I keep PMing her for random stuff and I know I can be annoying XD

That I admire Roam possibly more than I admire anyone else I've met online.

Roam: First person I met here. You're an amazing roleplayer, all around nice person and like everyone else says: amazing siggy maker. You have earned the title of: SIGGY MAKUR. Might just have to request one from you (: Oh, and I also appreciate being able to do this:

Mike: I appreciate his endless amount of knowledge regarding the comics. You're another really cool guy who does a mean Slade. By the way, thanks to your tactics with using both Slade in DeathStroke in separate threads, you win the title of Evil Psychotic Bastard. Grats, look forwarding to angsting/kicking your face in in future threads.

Penny: Another comic nerd. I love you nerds. Her OC is the first char I roleplayed with here. You have earned the title of: "Super innocent super hero? Heck yes!" We will finish our thread, don't worry! I have something fairly epic in mind (: And by the way, don't be so hard on yourself, okay?

Lakio: Second person I've met on here. First of all, I have to say that he's on the most talented artists I've ever got to meet. His style is truly unique and I appreciate it so much. I hope he takes his talent and changes the world with it. And no, your title isn't Super Special Awesome Artist. It's...RANDOMITER. 'Cause he's random all over the c-box, skype, everywhere! I still remember that one joke he pulled with Poet. And the comic. I love that comic.

Poet: I'll be honest. When I saw her audition for Brainiac, I was like, "lolrly?" Then I noticed that she did a swell Brainy. And then a awesome Gia. And and awesome Angel. And an awesome 5295692856 threads. All around she's just amazing and friendly. Amazing plotter too. I don't think I have never seen someone so dedicated when it comes to roleplaying. You win dun dun dunnn "BEEP BEEP! Pffft! Ima Robot." Why, you ask? Because you are a robot. Brainiac version 2.0.

Betts: ...Now I get to the craziest lunatic on this website. Crazy crazy crazy. ;p With her garbage roleplay skillz, lame smack talk and general meanness, all define the title I'm going to give her. But first, I have to say that she does probably the best Starfire I'll ever see. Her application has Starfire completely spot on, despite only roleplaying for a year I find her to be one of the best writers on this site. Probably better than me. She's incredibly nice...and the meanest person in the entire world. Therefore: she gets the title of Betsyface. Lame, I know. Just like her.

Seph: I can't say much because I don't know her so well ;___; I do remember when she used to come on the cbox, she was such a Jeff Hardy fangirl and still is, I bet. For those who are unaware, JH is a pro wrestler. She is awarded the title of "XMarks The Spot" because she needs to get the X on cbox D:

That's it for now, will probably post some others as I get to know people a bit more. You guys, some crazier than others, are pretty much like an online family to me. I meant what I said in cbox a few days about not wanting us to split up.

It's about time that I do this. But this time... for real! (Not that what I said the first time isn't true, mind you, this time I'm doing it for everyone.)

Astalakio | Astro! Brony extraordinaire! Best nickname ever. He's silly, serious, hilarious, and reliable all at the same time. I've gotten to know him quite a bit better recently, and I can say he's definitely worth knowing. He's a faaaaaantaasaastic artist! And he gives equally fantastic advice. He's also surprisingly super-duper nice and a great roleplayer. These are the reasons he's pretty dang high up on my "Most Talked to on Skype" list. Title: Artist/Friend/Therapist of the year.

Betsy | What I said before. She plays Katie amazingly, she's extremely. And I still think she and Roze would be cute together. Plus, she's also a great Starfire. Her writing skills are also worth mention. They're pretty fantastic and I'm majorly impressed. Title: Superduper kind and shippable.

Hikari| Hikaaaaaaaaaaaariiiiiii come baaaaaaaaack! Your playing of Beast Boy is just too awesome and extremely in character for you to never come back. ;~; Title: Best Beast Boy.

Mike | You're a funny guy. Drifter is pretty cool, and I had a lot of fun in our thread with him and Aileen. Your version of Slade is darker and edgier and just all around awesome. I hope you can be around more often, because you make for a great conversation at 2 o'clock in the morning, Mr. Insomnia. Title: Night-Lurker.

Penny | Coolest crazy cat lady I've ever met. Plus, she lives in Finland. +20 cool points right there. I enjoy our Skype conversations a ton, and I've learned quite a few things from them. Primarily, that she's absolutely hilarious. And like everyone says, she's pretty sophisticated. And she has a pretty good knowledge of everything Super-hero-y. Title: Sophisticated Crazy Cat Lady.

Poet | Quite possibly the most patient person in the entire world. Not to mention, she's an amazing roleplayer. She has the odd ability to breathe life into everything she writes in, from characters, to threads, to chats. I've never seen a a roleplayer so devoted to their character that they even think like the character, like she does with Brainy. She's a posting machine. Title: Half Awesome RPer half MACHINE.

PTAV| We need you here. You're a good admin, whenever you find the time to be around. You play Kid Flash fantastically! All of your characters are pretty awesome. I truly hope you're okay. Title: The Adminator.

Roze | Really. Like I said in Betsy's part of this... You two are pretty cute together... —major love/hate shipping fan— Your Robin is awesome. Your writing is awesome. You're hilarious, and your thing for Raven is slightly disturbing. And he proves just how much I overuse the word "awesome". Title: The Most Awesome and Nicest Jerk Ever.

Seph | Too dang mysterious. She does play a legit Kyd Wykkyd, though, and she seems pretty much all around awesome. Title: Mystery girl is mysterious but cool.

This said, I'd like to add on one last layer of cheesiness. The people of Room to Grow are some of the most genuinely nice people I've ever met. It's only been a few months, and you guys feel like family. I found exactly what I was looking for when I came here.

Appreciation!

PTAV - Very fun to RP with. I enjoy it because her posts always give me substance to work with (which isn't something that I'm given a lot on other sites that I'm on, but don't tell anyone I said that... >.> <.<)

Roamy - One of the more fun people to talk to. Absolutely fantastic and enjoyable! I love that most of the time I do pop in to the c-box they're there and are always a blast to talk to.

Asta - From what I've seen in the box, very sweet and nice and to be honest, I would enjoy an RP session with them. I just need to get around to popping into the box more. >.<

Poet - Probably the most fun that I've spoken to. Not only that, but she's also quite versatile as an RPer. Mostly, I enjoy RPing anything Angel/Elliot related. Why? It's fun and always smushy. And, of course, Poet's always around when someone needs a friend to talk to or just hang with.

Roze - so much fun to talk to. Not to mention, a pretty good rival any time some Robin/X action is wanted. Makes things in the cbox and on the board a lot more fun.

Mike - Most awesome Slade I've ever been able to RP with. Not to mention, he's very friendly and is quite the sweetheart, at least in my opinion.

Betsy - The most adorable and sweet Starfire yet, and this is coming from a girl who doesn't even like Starfire. Can't wait to RP between her and my Jason <3

If you're not on here, I'm sorry. It's cause I no knows you. >.> But hopefully it'll happen in due time. After all, only a few more weeks of school left!

Inari amuses me greatly, and of course, you're absolutely fun to chat with! AND GAH, LOOK, EVEN TALKING ABOUT YOU MAKES ME MORE SOPHISTICATED, HOW DARE YOU MESS WITH MY HATRED OF WRITING NORMALLY. I thought writing an appreciation thread would be easy, but the longer I stare, the harder it is to figure out how to word these things. Over all, I feel very fortunate to have come across such a diverse group of interesting people. You guys have made threading enjoyable and, for the first time in an rp board, I can honestly say I love the whole lot of you for your commitment and friendship you all have provided. I really didn’t think I would get attached but apparently I did (though it's no surprise why). So, onto the well-deserved praising.

Poet: Poet, you’re-- I don’t know, the cheese to my mac, peanut to my butter, the salt to my pepper, the mushrooms to my pizza toping-- the…omgod, I’m getting hungry. Anyways, you’re all that and more. I find you to be so spontaneous and creative, I mean the way you thread, it’s like you add a pinch of magic that make whatever post you create ten times better. I think that probably sounds pretty cheesy but I would not know how else to describe it, you’re writing simply makes me smile and your amazing down to earth attitude make you very endearing. Thanks for being you, Poet! Btw, you’ve earned the magical title FAIRY DUST!

Roze: Though you’re a hormonal driven diva with a jealousy issue of a --okay okay, just kidding. Though you’re extremely fun to annoy with your lame comebacks, deep down you’re a very caring individual despite how much of a jerk you pretend to be. You have such a spot on way of playing Robin and even though you’ve been extremely busy, the few posts that I have read of yours makes me aware that you have the nitty gritty down. He is raw and overall a very complicated character that you’ve brought to life with such flare. I swear every time you bring him up with an exaggerated roll of his cape, or the glistening of his motorcycle, I picture this bad ass character that is befitting for Robin. Which, if you check through Betsy’s Webster dictionary, you’ll find that the definition for Asta is in fact ‘most amazing supreme ruler of awesomeness. Word. In all seriousness, you’re a very down to earth fellow with a charismatic personality, I can see that a lot of our members are drawn to your easy going personality and I wouldn’t doubt if people generally gravitate towards you. -nudges- see what I did there, a pun! Anyways, I hope you never leave this board. Ever. Because you’re an amazing addition to this RtGfamily. I truly enjoy your moments of Roamness. You are also one of many that have made this board an amazing site. Penny: I don’t really know you but from all those times I’ve read your words on the c-box I could always picture this British voice speaking on behalf of your words, and I must say, you talk quite eloquent for an imaginary voice inside of my head. That and I absolutely enjoy reading you’re Inari posts, she is such a proper hero with these super cute mannerisms that make her unique. I swear, the inner Starfire in me wants to hug her.
