Hopping was difficult on tiny feet. No matter how hard she had tried, every time Jaiven had attempted to take off, she'd just wound up back on the ground. It was unnatural, or at least she felt that it was. She couldn't be a bird. It didn't make any sense, just a moment ago she had been a human being. An engineer, someone who fixed things, not a feathered baseball! Though, she couldn't say she disliked birds. Truly, she recalled loving them with quite a passion. She loved anything that flew really - from birds to airplanes to zeppelins. From a glance in the pond not overly far away, she had looked at herself long enough to decide she was some sort of swallow. A tiny creature build for speed, endurance, and maneuverability...from what she remembered. Something that could fly a very long distance, and also was quite common. Which meant no one would look twice at her in a park like this. While for some reason that made her relax a little, the fact that she was insanely hungry distracted her from her thoughts. That was her goal in the first place - to get food. She wasn't about to eat a bug...just the thought made her want to squirm inside. If only she could fly...Jaiven looked to the sky and hopped as high as her little feet could. Frantically, she beat her wings as she gained altitude, and again she found herself in the air, looking down on the park. Flying! The excitement and panic rushed through her head, and before she knew it her wings crumpled and she was right back where she started... On the ground. Ow.
