THE GOOD STUFF;;
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:
Artemis is a teenage girl with long blond hair and eyes that are a cold slate gray. Her parents were Caucasian and Vietnamese, adding a uniqueness to her features. She almost always has her hair pulled back in a ponytail but when her hair hangs loose, her bangs highlight and shape her face and her hair reaches her lower back. Her normal clothes consist of, a white or green T-shirt or tank top with a brown jacket over it. The sleeves of her jacket are always rolled up and she wears faded dark blue jeans. Her boots are black and simple. Her uniform is rather simple but fitted and designed especially for her. Her mask is green like the rest of her outfit and nearly covers her face completely. Her top is green with a light green arrow on it and has built in stealth tech to turn her entire uniform gray for recon and stealth missions. Her green pants have are designed with black kneepads and her black boots are nearly identical to the ones she wears out of uniform. Her quiver is strung along her back and her bow is a compound bow designed for accuracy.
PERSONALITY:
Growing up in a type of environment that would destroy most people, has turned Artemis into the type of person who will most likely try to solve a problem by fighting. She has an aggressive attitude and is extremely secretive about her heritage. She'll lie to anyone if it'll protect her secret, even her friends. She always has an opinion about everything and speaks her mind for the most part. For some reason, she always seems to have a comment about everything, some of them pleasant, the rest....more sarcastic. She's a very defensive person and has a tendency to try and prove herself and this causes arguments quite frequently, even about the stupidest things. The one thing that most people will notice about her is her thin patience and her temper. She isn't very patient with people who lie to make themselves look better, even if it makes her a hypocrite. Her temper is limited to mainly the things that annoy her. When it comes to people looking down on her, watch out. She will get angry, fast, and she'll have no issues shutting someone up.
POWERS AND/OR ABILITIES: Artemis is an archer. She usually uses regular arrows but she does have a few modified arrows for unique situations. She also has excellent hand to hand combat skills for situations where her bow can't help. She's nimble and athletic allowing her to move swiftly and gracefully and her accuracy with her bow is deadly. Aside from that, she's just an average person with no powers of any sort and a lot of drama.
WEAKNESSES:
Her first major weakness is her temper. It makes her a time bomb waiting to explode. Her anger is volatile and runs wild when she's annoyed. Its usually pretty obvious when she's upset and sometimes, if you really strike a nerve, it'll throw her off her game.
Her crippling weakness, is her past. She doesn't want anyone to know the truth about her because she's afraid of being rejected because of her parents' identities. Being the daughter of two villains is bound to make a girl have issues when trying so hard not to be like her parents. For her secret's safety....she will do anything, even let a villain escape.
Her willingness to prove herself often puts her in dangerous situations that on occasion can be life threatening. Although to some, she has nothing to prove, its the people that force her to prove herself that leads to trouble.
Family. The worst thing for her is her family. She'll hold back against them and won't fight with everything. For them, she'll do almost anything. Almost. The only thing she won't do is take the fall for them or let them ruin her standing with her friends.
GOALS:
Her biggest goal right now is to find a place she'd fit in regardless of her heritage. She wants, so badly, to be a good person and to be a hero that she rejects her family to do so.
In reality, she still hasn't found out what her goals truly are. These are just what she believes to be her goals.
HISTORY:
The youngest child of two assassins, born and raised in Gotham, is just the beginning of her past.
Artemis was raised by her father for six years while her mother was in jail. Her mother, Paula, had taken the fall for her husband and was doing the time instead of him. While Artemis was being raised by her father, her life changed drastically. Her father was a very abusive man, using emotional and verbal abuse whenever possible. During the six years with her father, Artemis was trained to the point that people would probably say it was another form of abuse. She was subjected to a wide variety of tests designed by her father that bordered on criminal. Although he did teach her how to use a bow, nothing else good came out of those six years. The day her sister ran away because of their father's abuse, Artemis was unable to convince her sister to stay and she watched as her sister left. When her mother was finally released from prison, things started to change. Her mother had given up her previous life and kicked her father out of the house. She had overheard the "talk" that her parents had shortly before her father left and it made her want to be a better person then both of them.
With her mother crippled, Artemis frequently worried over her and did whatever she could to help, whenever she was around. Her time was split between school, home, and being a vigilante hero. When she was out spending her time as a vigilante, she ended up encountering Batman's undercover team. She helped them out of a tight spot and was tracked down afterwards by Batman and Green Arrow. When they found her acting as a vigilante, they offered her a position on their undercover team, a chance few are given. She accepted the offer under one condition: No one must know her background. Batman and Green Arrow accepted that condition and made up a story, saying that Artemis was Green Arrow's niece. With that, they took her to meet the team.
The team she met made her silently regret the choice she made but she got over it. Her missions with them were usually pretty interesting but there was one that she'd always remember no matter how hard she tried to forget. She tried to be happy with the team but lately, she wanted to do things differently. With that in mind, she struck out on her own again, keeping in touch occasionally with her old team. This time, she was headed somewhere new to begin a new story. This time, she was headed for Jump City.

It was a dreary looking day, the world seemed to have taken on a grayish quality to match the sky. There was no hint of blue or any sign of the sun in the sky. Ominous gray storm clouds were the only noticeable thing. It had been pouring now for about four hours, adding to the bleak look outside. A streak of lightning flashed across the sky as the sound of thunder rolled through the air. The storm showed no signs of letting up anytime soon but it didn't seem to bother the young girl that was staring out the classroom window. She looked about fifteen years old. her long blond hair was pulled back in a tight ponytail. Her school uniform was still a little soaked from walking to school in this weather but it was only water, so it would dry. She sat at her desk, her chin resting on her hand. Her bored gaze focused on the outside instead of watching the clock like the other students. She was sitting in a classroom that was just like all the other rooms. The only difference was that this room was completely empty except for the desks belonging to students, the teacher's desk, and the chalkboard. That's usually what you could expect from a detention room. She sighed and glanced at the clock. Only fifteen minutes left. The minutes she had spent in this room had already felt like an eternity. Time seemed to drag on forever in this nearly empty room. There was a couple of other kids here but none of them were vaguely interesting to her. As her gaze swept the room, her fingers began to drum on the desk. Already, the thought of skipping school the next day crossed her mind but she'd never act on it. Even if the only reason she went was to get her mom off her back.
When the old balding teacher looked at the clock, he stood up. "Alright, troublemakers. You're free to go now." As soon as he finished saying this, the handful of students fled the room as quickly as possible. She had practically jumped out of her seat and raced for the door when he had said that. It wasn't that she was in a rush to be somewhere, she just wanted to be anywhere but at school. She bolted out of the school and headed home, her thoughts racing around in her head. Preoccupied, she didn't see the person ahead of her when she collided into him. They both landed on the ground and were now soaked and mud covered. As she started to get up, she attempted to brush herself off. The kid she had ran into got up and glared at her, "You should really apologize for running into me," he said. She returned the acidic glare with ease and slightly frustrated, she said, "Maybe you should look where you're going next time. Now back off." As she said the last two words she took a single step towards the guy. Surprised at being talked to like that, he stepped back and watched as she turned her back to him and walked away.
Annoyed, covered in mud, and just leaving detention, all on the first day of school. The day could not get any worse, at least that's what she hoped.
