It had been a simple dare. That’s all it was intended to be. Everyone, and she meant everyone knew how much of a target the Bank was. Heck, it practically had the bullseye painted on it. So a dare had been drifting through the school, a simple one that no one thought twice around. Stick around the bank for a whole day, seeing if anyone would steal anything, and if so, record it with your cell phone or something, and put it on Youtube. Gia hadn’t thought much of it, only to chuckle slightly and move onwards.
But as the wanted didn’t happen, and no one stole anything, pressure grew on the people that hadn’t done it. Brittney did it, on a Sunday. Katie skipped a whole day of classes to loiter outside of the school. So, finally, under the massive weight of peer pressure that both of her friends were piling on her like mountains of rock, Gia caved. She’d do the stupid dare, get it over with, and all that.
Packing up some of her homework in her backpack, and donning jeans and a green T-shirt with a smiley face on it (the perfect combination, which had made her instantly buy in it the store, despite the fact that it was a little big on her), the girl headed out, not telling the Stevenses of what she was doing, only of the fact that she was going to be out all day, and was bringing her cell phone. Simple, right?
So, planted on a bench not too far outside of the entrance to the bank, the freshman worked on her Chemistry homework, tongue sticking out of the corner of her mouth as she resisted the urge to doodle rocks and flowers and hearts on the side of her paper as she did so. It was pretty easy, though, which is why she decided to do it first, rather than work on her English essay, but that was likely a result of her, in her own modest opinion, ability at anything Science.
Especially rocks. They were like totally her friends.
However, all thoughts of that erased from her mind when the alarm, something that sounded more like something out of a movie, versus a real live bank thing, sounded, and she jerked upright in her seat, paper, book, pencil, bag clattering to the ground, as she raced towards the entrance, hesitant smile on her face as she pulled out her cell phone, quickly flipping it to multimedia, and then…
Record! She pushed the button just before the man raced out of the bank, and for a moment, this was fine, good… And then money flew, and she felt, she felt… did she remember this? It was so familiar, what was this…
A rock, erupting, laughter, money flying everywhere… No, she was standing on a rock, floating, floating, cold and misty… so quiet… Too, too quiet… They were gone, gone, gone, and her was her fault, she did it, how could she do it?
No… No, they deserved it…
Clutching her head, the girl soundlessly fell to her knees.

Jump City was currently experiencing a type of peace that hasn't been disturbed in quite a while. People were able to frolic through the bustling place without fear - there were no threats from egotistical superhumans, there were no abnormal sightings, nothing out of the ordinary. All was well. Most would consider this a time to relax, to take a vacation, head out of town for awhile and soak up some sun. Well, mostly everyone. The Titan leader himself was in his room, pacing back and forth with his hands crossed behind his back. A frown could be seen based on the curvature of his black and white domino mask as he constantly stared at his villain adored wall - reports of their capture, memorabilia and achievements littered all four corners. It was all nice, but no matter what, Jump City would always be threatened by criminals, greedy anti-heroes like a certain Red X, and those with the intention of ruling the world. Time and time again a group called the Teen Titans were able to defend their planet without fail. This, however...this... A loud thud could be heard against a wooden table, causing papers atop its surface to sail in every direction, swaying back and forth before soundlessly hitting the ground. More pacing. Jump had been far too villain/criminal free for the past week, much to the frustration of a certain Robin. What, did everyone drop off the face of the earth? Were they planning something? Were they on a vacation? The questions rose up faster than the chicken pox and the answers were nowhere to be found. Taunts began to spring up from nowhere, all in correlation to a person that Robin detested with every fabric of his being. Robin, you were always so slow to catch on...
Robin, you never could defeat me...
BLARE!
BLARE!
BLARE! Robin's room was suddenly buffeted by a bath of red as high pitched sirens sounded off in every section of Titans Tower. Wasting not a second the Boy Wonder bounded out of his room, the door sliding open automatically to accommodate his haste. Rounding several corners he came into the common room and immediately dashed off to the main computer situated in the rear. It was as if Robin was going against the test of time, as if Slade had been continually mocking him through and through.
Come and get me Robin...
His frown remain permanently etched onto his face, his focus never wavering for an instant. Thirty seconds later and Robin brought up a large map displaying all of Jump, and zeroed in on a blinking portion located in the business district. Tilting his head back he glared up at the map on the large screen, hands pressed flat on the keyboard. The other Titans were taking their sweet time to get here and receive the mission briefing and honestly, it was pissing Robin off. Was this yet another mission that he would have to take himself? The impatient teen gave them just one more minute; if no one showed, then he'd take this case by himself. Slade and the like wouldn't wait, and neither would he.

Starfire twirled mid-air, in front of the full length mirror, a pink dress poised in front of her, held between two slender fingers. Through the reflection her green eyes fasten on her pet larva, “do you think this will do?” It was a simple dress with a single brochure to the side that emphasized a figure but, for the most part, it was a simple fabric cut just right and worn with an air of causality.
The pearl white creature made a noise, one that Starfire acknowledge to be a form of agreement. Silkie did not know the depths of the alien’s heart and it would perhaps never understand the implications of one simple dress, but to Starfire, that was all she needed in order to twirl and spin in mirth followed by a gleeful giggle. ‘Now for what occasion would she wear it for?’ came instantly to mind. She could paint a thousand different pictures, but their was one constant and that alone made her golden cheeks color. Raven might be able to assist her. There were unwritten rules and customs, some of which she didn’t quite get, not to its fullest capability, and this was one blunder she would rather much avoid. In that sense, she hoped the introverted empath could shine some light and guide her through this social norm or at the very least do ’the girl talk’. There were so many things she wanted to say. It was as if a Zomberian G’ordf was nestled on her chest and it was getting harder to breath whenever…
A blare of noise interrupted her train of thought and quite dejectedly she tossed the pretty dress onto her pokadotted bed. It was nice being human, even for a little bit, she couldn’t have thought of a more challenging race. Starfire zipped out of her room and in two beats the familiar common room came into view, it was an accommodation of leather couches, a kitchen area, and the large view of the outside world. Robin was already there, punching numbers on the large computer. His frame appeared partial to any noise. There was something in the way that he stood, all seriousness, punctual, and compose, that made it easy for the laughing lines on her face to smoother out into a serious expression. Never minding the way her heart would skip a beat.
“What is it?” She said, referring to distress signal, her eyes traveled towards the map.
