THE GOOD STUFF;;
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:
Mime is about five feet and eleven inches. He has shoulder length straight light black hair and has blue eyes. His body is lean and his complexion pale. His teeth are unusually white and straight but are not fake or bleached. he weighs about 145 pounds and consists mainly of muscle. His hair tends to be brushed to one side of his face.
When he is not in costume, Mime tends to wear bright colors such as greens, reds, and blues. This choice was done on purpose to have his alter ego seem different from himself. He wears skinny jeans that are usually blue and shredded at the knees. He wears checkered lace-less skate shoes that are black and white which is usually the only black or white he has on him outside of his costume.
In costume Mime looks like the common mime but a little younger. His skin is painted white and is waterproof as well as is his eyeshadow, and black markings including his lipstick. His patterns on his face are a simple black dot the the side of an inverted black triangle. he wears grey finger-less gloves and paints his nails black. His finger prints were burned away from his skin from intentionally melting if off with acid. This means he leaves no prints so he is harder to keep track of. He wears a black and white thermal striped shirt with an invisible chain mail mesh underneath. His pants are very dark grey and have some white stripes in certain areas such as at the seams. His hero symbol is on his belt buckle which is made of steal and depicts a frowning face with his mime markings. His boots are rubber with some hidden steel in a layer at the front of the feet. He wears pin stripe suspenders and to top off the entire ensemble he wears his favorite beret.
PERSONALITY:
Mime is generally a quiet and serious character who tends to stay by himself and maybe four close friends at the most. His upbringing has has him learn not to trust the intentions of the majority of people. Every time he seems to put trust in someone it seems to backfire on him so he is hesitant to be a part of a large team. However if it were a small group he may join because there would be less people to watch out for.
Mime is not a murderer but does endorse more brutal means of disabling an opponent then a hero would. He will at times dislocate or break bones in order to protect the innocent and will even commit large property damage if he needs to. The innocence of life s what he aims to protect and nothing else matters. However, he still has limits to his brutality and has a code of ethics. He would never, blind, maim, paralyze, torture, or otherwise intentionally humiliate his foes in a way that is cruel.
Mime is not the type to believe that order is the norm for the world. He has seen many crimes and destruction in his life to have him believe that chaos and dissent is the common way of life. He does not believe that people are inherently good or evil, simply that people end up how they live their lives. He does not believe in destiny because he is terrified of of elements that he cannot control.
Mime does have his soft and light times of course. He is not just a Mime in powers and looks but he was actually trained in pantomime and slapstick comedy and has used it to calm and cheer his few friends and the terrified people he tries to save. When he is not trying to be over the top silly his sense of humor is fairly dark and sarcastic.
POWERS AND/OR ABILITIES: Louis has the ability to create invisible objects out of telekinetic energy. However he cannot create guns and every object has the same weight and size as its visible counter part and the largest and heaviest object he can create is probably a motorcycle. Mime cannot make himself or others invisible. As long as he is within a fifteen mile radius than the objects can remain their form.
Louis is also telepathic and can communicate mentally with others at any distance but cannot read minds other than the thoughts the other party sends him. His telepathy cannot penetrate through lead and certain magnetic wavelengths. Mime has knowledge of parkour,ninjutsu, and of course, pantomime.
WEAKNESSES:
1. Mime does not know how to talk very well. This has at times created a communication barrier. After all, if he telepathically communicated with just anyone than his secret identity be compromised.
2. Mime also suffers from clinical depression. While he is not the type to be a danger to himself or others, he has difficulty finding the bright side of life.
3. People tend to see his mopiness and shyness as being rude and aloof. He is often mistaken as a pompous jerk. He does not work well with most people.
GOALS:
1. Mime wants to make friends and be able to trust them with his secrets.
2. He also wants to try to move on from his checkered past and help people as a way to atone for hurting them in the past.
3. Above all, Mime wants to learn how fluently speak English and his native French aloud. He really wants to fit in and not feel like he is slower than others just because he was never taught to speak.
HISTORY:
Mime's original family and there whereabouts are unknown. It is believed that they were named Pierre and Marie Valjean and that they loved their child dearly. His parents were killed by a society of psychics who detected the mental potential of their son, Louis. The group kidnapped and adopted Louis as their own and raised him as a thief and assassin.
Louis was not allowed to speak aloud, only telepathically. If he said any words aloud that he learned while he was stealing and killing normal people he was savagely beaten for it. This has led to psychological damage and is now afraid to speak because his mind creates a physical pain as a response. During a job in Paris he met and fell in love with a girl named named Belle. The only problem was that he was assigned to kill her.
After returning to his group's base in the sewers, his adopted family learned that he did not fulfill his mission. Louis was not fast enough to stop the others from killing Belle. During this time he also learned that his so-called family had killed his real parents. And then, one word spouted from his lips. This word was the only thing he had said in years. He simply uttered, "No."
He could not defeat all of the psychic assassins and was forced to retreat...for now. He has immigrated to Jump City and is attending one of their high schools where he hopes to learn more about the world he was shielded from and to learn how to properly speak without being afraid. He has taken an oath to protect people and to never kill again. Due to his ability to create invisible walls from psychic energy and his lack of speech he took the guise of a mime.
