Slade's drones had made it into the most secure wing of the facility with no real problems. Sure Wayne's security defenses were quite impeccable when compared to other labs but nothing Slade did not anticipate. Some simple hacking and well placed detonations made it simple enough. Still the guards were top notch, some even managed to take out his robots but of course there weren't enough guards and weren't enough skilled to the point to stop the multitude of drones in their path. Slade always kept record of how tight the defenses of these types of facilities grew. Lexcorp and Wayne Industries always had the best security. Of course that meant that they had the most important stuff to secure.
The latest A.I. chip that they were working on was one of those items that was worth protecting. Slade figured from his research that his artificial intelligence was about the same in brilliance but it would be good to see if there were some design aspects that he could incorporate into his own chips. Even if they're was not he hoped to find flaws within the common software that the industry used.
Of course that was not the real prize and not the main reason he was there. The chip was simply a bonus prize should the Titans fail to stop the robbery. All he wanted to do was alert the Titans that he was back to his old actions. The way the heist operated was classic Slade, which was on purpose. This was meant to establish the different methods of Slade and his alter ego, Deathstroke. it must be known that there was no way that they could be affiliated.
Slade was quiet, the type to strike small and in the night and than grow to more daring operations after calculating every little detail. Deathstroke was loud and in your face and struck head on. Slade watched through the camera eyes of one of his bots. No one arrived yet. It was a shame, he thought Robin and his friends would be here much quicker.

No one could question the Titans seriousness upon hearing the piercing sounds of the alarm located in Titans Tower. Robin quickly darted to the main computer and with a few keystrokes, pinpointed the problem area. Looking at the map projected on the large screen indicated a location that made the whites of Robin's mask narrow. Wayne Industries. The memories forced their way into the males mind but he was quick to shake it off, if only temporary.
Robin turned his back to the map and darted through the tower, feet taking him through the T shaped building at incredible speeds, until he at last, located the R-Cycle. Revving it for a few seconds Robin hopped on its back and shot off through a secret passageway, which lead him to the main city of Jump, darkened by night skies above yet illuminated by the many street lights and stores littered throughout the City. The wind forced its way through the male's hair as Robin took through the near empty streets, a uncanny sense of foreboding falling upon him.
Taking one hand off the handle, Robin pressed a series a buttons on the motorcycle that triggered the communicators belonging to each of his four friends. "Titans, trouble!" He declared, knowing that the urgency of his voice would carry through to the others. "I'm sending the coordinates. Robin, out." A few additional strokes and Robin returned his gloved hand to its respective handle, turning up the gas in the process. An expulsion of smoke pulsed out of the rear exhaust pipes and Robin made haste towards his destination, eyes focused ahead of him, his brain readying his mind and body for what could await him.
The high tech building was already broken into and the Boy Wonder wasted no time in parking the vehicle nearby and powering through the varying sections of one of the most well known buildings in Jump. The others, were hopefully right behind him. A sense of familiarity drifted through the rooms that Robin traversed, knowing that he was here before for all the wrong reasons. Well, not this time...
The bodies belonging to guards dramatically increased in number, indicating that Robin drew closer to where he needed to go. The clank from each and one of Robin's footfalls would create unnecessary attention, but this was no time for stealth. As the leading Titan ran down a straightaway leading to the deepest portions of Wayne Industries, he caught a glimpse of a very familiar robot lying on its back, adorned with a series of bullet holes strewn through its entire metallic body. His speed lowered to a stop as he knelt down near the downed robot, whom was emitting the occasional spark. Upon further examination, Robin could not help but permit a gasp to came out of his mouth. That expression of surprise was quickly layered with a seriousness that hadn't seen the light of day in what felt like months. Slowly, he dug into his belt and took out the small communicator that was always at his side. Pressing a button, he spoke with a slow and careful tone that failed to hide the anger that his body was projecting.
"...It's Slade."

Starfire felt it the moment she ventured towards the main computer room, fighting the sleep that clung to her half opened eyes. No one was around. Not a single soul. This tangent feeling spread at the pit of her stomachs when her feet guided her towards the main computer. It was a setup of tightly knitted security systems and an expensive monitor that projected data on a wide screen. There was a low buzz of electricity coursing through a long extension of wires which indicated that the main computer was up and running and against the defining silence, she could hear it clearly. What‘s more, she could see it, too. The glow to the computer screen was sharp and it took a short series of blinking to adjust to the harsh groping of the light. Starfire peered towards the computer where a map dominated the screen to reveal Jump City. It was spread out in a systematical grid of different colored lines, shapes dotted in various locations, and one pulsing red dot that marked the sight of the crime. Besides it, another window was opened, zoomed into a particularly high profiled building; Wayne Tech. Her brow knitted together. It took her a while- after wrestling away the remainder of the sandman’s effect- to notice that the alarm that had ripped her away from a soundless sleep had been manually shut off before she had even step foot inside the room. And yet… no one but the well furnished chamber greeted her. Something was just not right, she could only deduct. There was a sharpness in her voice when she drew out the name of the only person that could make sense of all this, hoping that in turn his voice would materialize underneath a cloak of shadows. She was disappointed to find out that no one responded. Most certainly not Robin. She said it a second time. No answer. Where was he? Had he already taken off? Though independent, she was surprised by the impulsive whim that overcame the leading titan to leave without notice and it only made her wonder whether this was an act of great urgency or something else. It prompted many more questions that needed answering but in that solitude, and within the pressing matter of trouble looming in Jump, she had to shrug it off. Even though one particularly stark white question neoned its way into her mind. Was he alright? He had to be. It was Robin, after all. She reminded herself that the Boy Wonder, though human, he was more than capable of taking care of himself. She did not need to worry about his well-being. All the same, that didn’t mean she couldn’t. On that eventful night, Starfire hit the sky of Jump city (after confirming with her team about the situation). She scissor through currents of temperamental winds, pass a blur of lights and colors that zipped pass behind her. From her vantage point, she tried to catch up to the small dot of what would be Robin riding his bike down the light traffic of nighttime, but though she turned and dipped down, flying slow enough not the break through the window panels of some towering corporate building, she couldn’t find him. Not until she heard his voice did she feel more at ease; it was evident in the way that it colored her following sentence. “Robin, I am relieved to know that you are alright!”- She hesitated- “Is everything okay? You left unexpectedly.” Wayne Tech was edging nearer. The speed in her flight hasten. When Starfire touched ground, she heard a crack in their transmission. It was hard to decipher Robin's next message through the shower of static pouring in. It didn't matter, she was determined to find him. [/ul]

Although Beast Boy was up on the roof when the alarm sounded, he was still aware of the alarm when it went off, lifting his dog’s head and perking his floppy ears before changing to a crow to swoop quickly down through the halls of the Tower. He had expected to hear Robin’s sharp command telling them to move out, but he didn’t hear it, even though the alarm had gone off. Pausing, he shifted again and put his sneakers to the ground, blinking around the silent Tower.
Was it a false alarm? It had been shut off, and then Robin wasn’t shouting at them to get their butts in gear, so that seemed most likely. But Beast Boy couldn’t remember having false alarms before, not when the big computer started blaring at them about the problem. He jumped when he finally heard Robin’s voice, and pulled out his communicator to figure out where to go. “Yeah, dude,” he said after Starfire’d had her say, jogging his way back up to the roof to take off. “What happened to waiting for your team?”
Not that Robin going off on his own was at all unexpected, Beast Boy thought as he changed into a pterodactyl and flew off to meet the others (Cyborg would probably want to take the T-car anyway, so BB didn’t offer him a lift—besides, that mostly metal body was heavy). He’d done it before, and had actually barely accepted being on a team in the first place. Usually, though, when he went off on his own, he didn’t bother calling the Titans in later except in a couple of instances where he was lying to them and such, but that was beside the point.
That name, though, nearly made Beast Boy fall out of the sky when Robin called them again. Squawking with alarm, he pumped his wings to regain altitude, then flew faster. However much Robin might say he could handle Slade (which was a frequent protest in their days of dealing with the psycho constantly), he needed backup with Slade. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. They had to get there, now.
He landed near the R-cycle and changed back into human, looking around to see if any of the other Titans had arrived yet even as he started trotting toward the entrance. He wasn’t as timid as he used to be. While he might not charge in to everything like Robin would, he wasn’t going to waste time and make sure he had a buddy before getting in there to back up Robin.

The Slade bots turned to see the three heroes breaking in on their operations. Blasters on hand, they started shooting at the three while other groups leaped at them trying to overpower them. Win or lose, they would fulfill their prime directive, they would stall the Titans. A rumbling could be heard from the ceiling as another wave fell from the ventilation systems above them all. literally, hundreds of minions were crammed inside the place running towards the group.
The Slade decoy was not deployed yet. No one would find him until it was meant to be found. Slade knew where Robin would look so he was kept far behind. In the typical formula of a Slade heist, Slade himself or a robot copy would pop in from time to time near the end of the battle. It needed to feel routine, your common Slade on Titans experience. They had to know or at least believe to know that he was doing this job as opposed to being Deathstroke and hanging at the pier miles on miles away.
Slade's face appeared on the individual computer monitors looked as emotionless as always. As the battle ensued he spoke through the computers. "Welcome back my friends. I am glad you took took the time out of your schedules for this little reunion."
