A shadow leapt out of the air duct of the Jump Museum and landed silently on the roof. He rolled to the side and caught the grate that had originally covered the air duct before setting it onto the concrete of the roof. He wanted to make sure he didn't get caught or anything. That would dampen his mood...
Jason Todd smiled triumphantly behind his mask as he looked around the city. To be honest, he thought stealing from the museum would be a whole lot harder but it seemed to be pretty easy. Well...in his opinion, anyway. Of course, Jason had always thought pretty high of himself. It had always been one of his downfalls. His arrogance was one that was most people only think they have or that people believe celebrities half. God's gift to women? Jason Todd was only a step below that.
"Ah... I love it when a plan comes together," Jason mocked in the same tone of voice as the infamous leader of the A-Team. Of course it came out gravelly so that no one could really tell it was his voice. He had to thank that intelligent, pesky kid Robin for that. If he hadn't created this fantastic suit, he'd probably still be regular old thrill seeking Jason Todd.
After a brief moment, the thief grinned as he heard a light thump against the roof. He turned and gazed at his company. He smirked behind his mask and waved at the famous Teen Titan leader. He was glad he showed up. He had been hoping to have a little fun tonight and this would definitely be chalked up in the "Fun" category.
"Heya, kid. You stalking me or something?" He asked as he mentally prepared for a fight. Something told him Robin wasn't here to have a nice chat about old times. Although if he did, Red X would be sure enough to oblige.

Robin was having a bad day.
After continually poring through the Titan mainframe for hours on end, he failed to make any headway on the one guy whose cryptic language bothered him on levels that humans couldn't properly identify. Slade. At this very moment, he was no doubt planning something even as the Boy Wonder walked the streets of Jump. Slade was so crafty, so elusive, and it frustrated the hell out of the sixteen year old. A break from the Tower was best: the fresh air would rejuvenate him for another long night of doing research.
The city itself seemed to be in relative peace; Jump's business district was clad with busybody blue collar workers traversing the streets from point A to point B. They practically ignored the lone teenager, and honestly, Robin preferred it this way. The bright sun shined its illuminating beams down on the city, punishing those who dared to gaze up at the yellow star in the sky. Rounding a corner the leading Titan found himself at the notably large Jump Museum, a gloved hand involuntarily forming a visor just over his mask as he gazed upwards to take in the large establishment. Maybe a glance inside would jump start his mind, or maybe it would just be a waste of time. Robin exhaled a sigh already leaning toward the latter when a dark silhouette appeared on the museum's apex, prompting a distracted Boy Wonder to take action.
Innocent bystanders watched the spiky haired spandex wearing male produce a grapnel out of nowhere, and fired the small machine up towards the roof. The sharp edged hook anchored itself into the building. Some civies egged the hero on, calling his name and shouting words of praise onto him as he soon sailed into the sky. Robin ignored all of the silly propaganda, not even registering it into his ever calculating brain. Already assuming that the dark dressed figure was a thief, his body tensed itself, preparing himself to take immediate action to apprehend the foe. Slade could wait. Before even landing on the roof Robin was able to make out the figure based on a easily recognizable red imprint marked on his chest.
X.
Just the sight of this guy resurrected the desire to take him in. Robin took an innocuous step forward, knowing that the anti-hero wouldn't run away so quickly, lest he wanted to flee from a thrill. Raising an arm he stretched his index finger outward, pointing toward the prize that was in X's possession, a frown clearly present on his features. He paid the thief no mind to his question, solely because the Boy Wonder was more than ready with his own retort, a stark contrast to the easygoing one made in his face.
"If you don't drop that," he motioned towards the package the other had, "I'll be dropping you in jail."
Refusing to even give the guy a chance to respond Robin quickly brandished his staff along with two birdarangs held in the crevice of his other hand, letting them fly at mile high speeds, rocketing towards the suit stealing reject. His initial assault was far from over as a battle yell bellowed from his lungs and he charged forward, rotating his staff in expert motions, swiping horizontally aiming to wipe what Robin knew was a smirk off his face. This leading Titan was in no mood for games. It was his fault that X was on the loose and hell, this bad day was not going to get worse.

To be honest, it was no shock to Jason that Robin had showed up. After all, he was a Teen Titan and he was sort of a rival for the masked thief. Of course, Jason couldn't really blame him. Not many people would be too thrilled about you breaking in to their protected home and super secret safe to steal their super, cool, awesome suit.
Red X grinned through is mask at Robin as he said that if he didn't drop what he was holding that he'd be dropping him in jail. The masked anti-hero tilted his head a moment before his foe brandished his staff and his birdarangs at him, making him smile even more. He had to admit, he was pretty thrilled that Robin was off to such a fast start. It made things much more exciting.
The man in black watched as Robin threw the rangs at him quickly before bolting towards him. Quick as a flash, Red X dodged the rangs and continued to stand where Robin was going, watching as he expertly rotated his staff in his hands before one end of the staff headed towards X. He ducked down before going for a leg sweep, although he had a good idea that it wouldn't work as he did a somersault in the opposite direction of Robin and jumped to his feet.
It was always a fun time when Robin showed up to stop him. After all, the two were quite similar in height and fighting style so sometimes it was fun to try and predict Robin's next move. Of course, what Red X thought was fun, Robin probably thought was a pain in the butt. Height and fighting style were the only things that Robin and Jason had in common...well...aside from liking a certain red-haired, purple wearing alien girl. But that is another story for another time.
"C'mon, Robin, is that the best you've got?" He asked as he brandished two Xs from his belt, ready for action all while keeping what he had stolen tucked safely under his arm.

Red X should have never existed. The outfit's performance, was superb as always, but its purpose was a complete failure that only served to rift the team - and his friends. It only went to serve that this, this went beyond taking down an X wearing knockoff and went into personal boundary. Robin's tenacity only punctuated this fact, wasting little time to get the job done.
When X dropped low Robin was quick to assume what was going to come next. With surprising readiness for the others predictable tact, Robin brought his attack to a halt and pressed his metal plated shoes against the rooftop and pushed off, propelling himself forward in midair over the mysterious suit wearer, his flip effectively granting himself space to put the next phase of his plan to action.
Within seconds of his flip two objects whistled from out of the airborne Titan, one after another. The first could hardly be discerned through the bright sunlight that engulfed it, but anyone would be able to make out the secondary bird shaped projectile that sped towards the unknown object, eclipsing the formers speed and colliding with it, causing what X would soon recognize as an detonation. A large explosion could be heard, though following this particular sound came the billowing of smoke that covered the rooftop in its entirety.
He landed gracefully and with his staff in hand stepped back and around, creating a pocket of distance between himself and X, not willing to let the miscreant get the upper hand. And then came Red's taunt. As serious as he was about finally bringing in this guy, a smirk grew on the Titan's face. "Well, X, you should ask yourself that question. All you got is my suit."
The Boy Wonder threw another series of birdarangs through the smoke filled roof, all while keeping himself at the ready to intercept the skull masked male should he choose to come in close. So far so good, if all went well, then X would be caught pretty soon.

It didn't shock Red X in the slightest when Robin jumped out of the way of his sweep kick, which was why he had somersaulted forward before leaping to his feet and turning around to face the Boy Wonder. He had to admit, Robin's attacks were a lot more aggressive than usual, which made things a little less fun for Red X, but he'd take what he could get at this point. After all, stealing from the museum hadn't really been all that much of a thrill, but now that Robin was here. Well...that made this trip a little more worth it.
A grin formed on Red X's masked face as the red X blades on his wrist grew. He moved them so that he could block the airborne objects, but that was when he realized that they weren't normal rangs. He cursed himself inwardly as one made a connection with the other and exploded.
Red X shielded himself from the blow and was tossed backwards as smoke rolled outward from where the explosion had happened. Quickly recovering, Red X did a back flip and landed on his feet behind the smoke screen. His eyes darted around carefully as he checked to see where his "friendly rival" would be coming from.
"Well, X, you should ask yourself that question. All you got is my suit," came Robin's voice through a smoke. Red X grinned slightly before he heard two birdarangs whistling through the smoke. He made sure to move quickly, now.
"Please, Robin, I also got most of your toys. But a few have been...modified," he retorted cooly as he pulled out two x's and sent them flying at Robin through the smoke after he took off in to a run. It was then that he pushed the teleport button on his belt and appeared behind Robin.
While he was distracted by the x's, Red X jumped up and aimed a kick for the back of Robin's head. Mostly to knock him out so they could play again for another time, but sometime told X that it wouldn't be all that simple. Oh well, made for more fun in the end.

Robin could've smiled. "It'd be nice if you modified them to send you straight to jail," he said as he heard the incoming X's come at him through the smoke that surrounded the four corners of the museum. A loud clang echoed through the battleground as each opposing projectile met the brunt of a cylindrical Bo-staff, knocking the X's out of left field as Robin kept his wits and intuitively located a heat source unlike any other appear behind him at lightning speed.
It only took seconds.
His senses shook with the result of a kick that came in contact with his cranium, knocking the teen forward, feet stumbling through the thick artificial cloud as the acrobat struggled to get his bearings in order, a sharp throbbing pain shooting his head. Transiently holding a palm to the source of his unfortunate pain, he yelled, "What did you steal," as he maintained his hold on the staff, switching plans on the fly in readiness to anticipate Red X. Lingering smoke drifted upwards and out which would undoubtedly reveal the location of both persons, which could be a good thing for the opposing thief...or not.

Red X couldn't help but roll his eyes as Robin tried to make a joke. Sadly, Jason knew that between the two, he was the one who's jokes were more funny. After all, being the bad guy usually means that your jokes were more funny. Although, some bad guys were really quite terrible when it came to making jokes. It was sad, but true...
But...now that Jason thought about it he wasn't really a bad guy, he just wasn't a good guy, which he knew Robin loathed almost as much as the fact that he stole his precious suit. Let's be honest though, Robin should have kept it hidden and guarded better. Sadly, Robin never thought that someone would go in and steal it. That was his first mistake, which one day Jason would tell him but for now? It was time to have some fun.
It was right after Red X kicked Robin in the head that he watched as Robin stumbled forward. He grinned to himself, pretty proud that he was able to fool the Bird Boy. Sadly, this also kicked him into the smoke, but Red X was more than sure that he'd be alright. After all, Robin had only bested him once, while Red X had bested him plenty of times.
"What did you steal?!" Robin's voice came from the smoke and darkness, making Red X grin to himself when he saw the smoke begin to vanish.
"What did I steal? Oh, Robin, you should know better than to ask me that. But, if you must know, it wasn't anything too valuable. Just a priceless gem...or was it one of a kind? I'm not too sure, anymore. I forgot to read the sign," he mocked while rolling his eyes. Did Robin really think Red X knew what he was stealing? Please, Red X just stole things because he could not because of anything else...well...unless someone hired him to steal something anyway.
