CODENAME: Angel
ALIASES: Aside from the above? Nope.
AFFILIATION: Villain
STATUS: Waking up from being Flash-Frozen.

THE GOOD STUFF;;
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:
The most obvious thing that everyone sees about Angel would be the two white, feathered wings sprouting from her back, which she is unable to make disappear, making having a secret identity quite difficult. Her eyes are a permanent, almost glowing yellow, and her hair is a short, kind of spiky (dyed) black, though it is always hidden by her silver helmet. To match with said helmet, she always wears four silver armbands.
Clothing wise, Angel always wears a red tanktop with a blue ruffled turtleneck, that has two slits in the back for her wings (it is quite difficult to dress every morning, believe me), along with a blue skirt and a silver belt with a circular buckle. Her shoes are red high-heeled boots with silver cuffs on top, which also match with her armbands, helmet, and belt.
Also, she doesn't have eyebrows. Don't mention that to her.
PERSONALITY: In truth, Angel's kind of a free spirit. She wants to do this her way, and her way alone (although she will cave for her friends, maybe), and hates any sort of constraints. Kind of like a villainous hippie, in a way. She considers rules and laws to be annoying things, that pin her down and cut off her freedom, so she doesn’t listen to them. Simple as that.
Though she is a villain, Angel’s not the type that would seem to be one, if you ran into her on the street and somehow didn’t notice her eyes and wings. She’s a friendly, joking person, always looking for a little bit of fun in life, but she’s a little too free with that fun, and too mischievous for it all to be in good fun. For example, she would scare someone just for the heck of it, even if it literally meant terrifying them out of their mind, and steal something just because the person she ran into earlier that day, who owned it, was a jerk.
For her, she’s the kind of person who considers “being evil” a hobby, and for the most part, kind of acts like a typical teenager. She’s rebellious, mocks those who don’t understand things, hangs out with friends, bakes cookies, ‘goes shopping’, the whole she-bang. She’s just your friendly neighborhood villain.
POWERS AND/OR ABILITIES: Born with two white, feathered angel wings sprouting from her back, she is able to manipulate them, growing them to a sufficient size so that she can fly with just a simple thought in her mind, or to an even larger size, so that she batter and smash opponents with them. Angel can also fly at a superhuman speed, and possesses the endurance and invulnerability sufficient enough to keep her from being flattened, burned, or otherwise harmed by the speed of her flight.
WEAKNESSES:
- Her powers are made for the open sky. Ergo, any fight indoors is not her forte.
- She has very firm moral lines that she will not cross, no matter what. She's a villain, not a supervillain.
- If given the chance, she's far too friendly towards heroes, finding them 'funny', to be super much of a threat.
- Fighting... Don't ask Angel to fight. Like, don't. We'd have a bunch of smooshed villain on the floor, right there.
GOALS: Just being a villain that has fun. Almost anything for Kyd Wykkyd.
HISTORY: Angelique was born with wings, a mutation that was unknown if it were natural or not, and subsequently abandoned by her family. They were kind enough to actually ensure that she would be taken in by an orphanage, and she actually was taken in by a religious one. That did not end well.
As she had wings, and with the coincidence of her name that she would later laugh on, many of the staff believed that she truly was an angel, and quite a few of them informed her of that fact. With many of the children in awe of her ability to fly, after she learned how, this created a sense of narcissism within the girl, and though it certainly wasn’t the highest level of it within the world, she had a high opinion of herself.
That all changed, one day, when the orphanage was held for ransom. It was a classic, cliché move, and though she could not for the life of her remember the villain that held them hostage, she remembered the way it took so many police to take him down, as well as so many cunning moves.
If it took that many ‘heroes’ against one villain, who wasn’t even anything special, what could she do?
Thus the girl began her reign of trickery and mischief, slowly evolving into petty crimes and slightly more important ones, and though no one could ever prove it was her, everyone suspected it. Angelique became a “Fallen Angel”, now, to all those who had professed their earlier belief.
It was when she got daring enough to rob a bank, and successfully get away with it, when she was recruited to join H.I.V.E. Academy. Delighted by this, she joined, and it ended up being good for her. Anyone with a high opinion of herself, and not being the strongest there, ended up flattened at one point or another, and after it happened to her quite a few times, she felt less sure in her powers, and learned to tone it down.
While there, she ended up bonding with Kyd Wykkyd. He was more in it for the money, versus the power and thrill of it that she was, but she was fine with the way he often didn’t talk, speaking enough for both of them, and they soon became best friends.
After the academy was destroyed, she set off with Kyd Wykkyd as a pair of freelance heroes, with him mostly the leader of the two. They lasted pretty well, and without any attention from ‘heroes’, were able to stay out of trouble and the like, but it still found them, in the form of the Brotherhood of Evil.
Angel was fairly skeptical about it, considering it was a far cry from the school setting of H.I.V.E. Academy, but she joined along with her best friend, and though the two were separated, with him associating with the H.I.V.E. 5, she found her honestly enjoying it, for it was almost like being freelance, except with people to back her up, and less of her best friend. It wasn’t that bad.
At least, of course, until they decided to eliminate all the young superheroes around the world. Angel wasn’t up to that kind of scratch, to be frank. She was a villain, not a supervillain, and definitely not a murderer, but what could she do? So she went along with it, attacking Bumblebee with Punk Rocket, who she really wasn’t the biggest fan of, and to her surprise, they managed to beat the tar out of her, but then lost her.
Secretly, she was kind of relieved. She didn’t want that kind of black mark on her record yet.
Even though she simply wanted to take Kyd Wykkyd and hightail it out of there, away from the whole ‘supervillain’ and ‘taking over the world’ business, just to go be the villain of the week that constantly broke out of jail, or the ones that slipped below the radar and everyone forgot about, she stayed.
It was a decision she would regret for a long time.
The Titans attacked, somehow, and they knew, and they could defeat them, and she found herself defeated too easily in such a space, unable to truly get her full use without the sky, and found herself flash-frozen. It was to be off to jail, away from the beautiful sky and the outside world, and away from her best friend.
At least, that was until Deathstroke came along…
THE NITTY-GRITTY;;
SCREENNAME: Poet
Time spent roleplaying: About five years~.
Other Characters: Brainiac 5.0!
RP Sample: The wind whipped at her, wings outstretched behind her as she flew, the sun in her yellow eyes and enjoying it completely. Her hair was tucked neatly beneath her helmet, preventing her from having to deal with the woes of air-hair, and she smiled, turning gracefully to do a loop-de-loop. This was nice, with the wind in her wings, clear skies, money in her pocket…
And police sirens going off below. Of course.
Honestly, she didn’t know why they still tried. It wasn’t as if it were a big city, so there weren’t any supers, and they didn’t have any helicopters or anything like that to stop her, so she would get away every single time. Plus, she didn’t steal anything important. Some money here and there, breaking in for the heck of it, the occasional painting or rare furniture that now adorned her ‘headquarters’. Heroes were kind of stupid, really.
Flying up, up, up, until the air was thin, though it didn’t really affect her, Angel smiled, swooping towards her and Kyd’s hideout, knowing that they couldn’t see her. She was out of range, besides, and it was fairly easy to hide when she had all this cloud cover. After dropping down a bit lower to make sure that there were no ‘heroes’ in sight, she flitted down to the apartment, stepping in through the door, and immediately spotting the note that lay on the normally pristine table.
Oh, Kyd had gone out. Poor police, they were having to deal with too much today.
Ah well, even though she would’ve like to share her tale with her friend, especially considering she had totally made one of them mess himself, this way she could do something cool. Like make cookies. Double Chocolate Chunk, to be exact.
Yum!
Tossing the stolen money and the few pieces of jewelry on the table to sort through later, she snatched up her yellow apron, and began to root around in the cupboard. Wooh, this would be a pretty good day!
…Provided he didn’t get caught, of course.
