The Rules

• After reading through the 2 threads in this board and familiarizing yourself with the setting, feel free to start working on a character application. You are not allowed to post in any IC boards until a staff member reviews your profile and approve it.
  
  
• Avatars can be no bigger than 150x150. Signatures can be no bigger than 500x300.
  
  
• In the interest of trying to keep things from being as confusing as possible, you will need to create a new account for every character you play as. The display name of the account must also be changed to either the character's given name or their codename.
  
  
• If a new account hasn't at least posted a place-holder post in the Pending Applications board within 10 days, the account will be deleted. This is assuming that you have not discussed this matter with a member of the staff. Seriously, creating an account and then letting it just sit and gather dust is annoying.
  
  
• For the foreseeable future, there is no hard limit on how many canon characters any member can have within reason. I don't want one person taking on the entire Teen Titans. There is also no hard limit on how many original characters a member can have, so I'm leaving it up to your personal discretion as to how many characters you can keep up with. This also segues into the next point.
  
  
• There will be a lenient posting requirement; try to post at least once per month (ideally per character). If this seems too strict a rule and you have no adequate reason for your lack of activity, take this as a sign to cut back on the number of characters you have.
  
  
• As for the size and content of posts; third-person or first-person point of view, with the preference being towards third-person, and at least one decent-sized paragraphs per reply. One-line replies are unacceptable, and one good paragraph is not a lot. Make sure that your post has enough for others to respond to; no one is asking you to match a 15-page essay someone deposited in your thread, but it's important to put some time and effort into a reply. Do unto others what you would have done unto you, and all that jazz.
  
  
• If you'd told me years ago when I started roleplaying that a rule against god-modding was necessary for a roleplay in this day and age, I'd have called you crazy. Experience has since taught me that it's better to err on the side of caution. That said: under no circumstances may you take control of another member's character or dictate what actions that character takes. Your character(s) are also not all-powerful, are not infallible, and will make mistakes.
  
  
• ProBoards does not allow content on their site that would be rated above PG-13. Keep this in mind. When writing violence, don't turn it into a Saw movie. On the subject of graphic sexual content, NO. Just no. Fade to black if you absolutely have to. In other instances play it carefully by ear - for instance, the occasional swear is fine. What is not fine, however, is cursing a blue streak, even when you're technically writing In Character. You can get across the idea of your character cursing without actually having to type it.
  
  
• Killing off a character is a major deal, as is any pregnancies. I don't expect there to be much interest in the latter for this site, but regardless, the players involved must make it known to a member of staff that that they all give consent.
  
  
• Above all else, respect your fellow members and staff.

C-BOX RULES

- No advertising. We have a section of the board dedicated specifically for that purpose.

- No excessive swearing. If you're unsure of whether or not you're excessively swearing, you probably are.

- No flooding or spamming. Again, if you have to question whether or not you're flooding the C-box, err on the side of caution.

- This is a C-box, not the Octagon. This is not the place for heated arguments. If you absolutely must get something off your chest, then take it elsewhere.

- Above all, have respect for your fellow guests, members, and staff.
